Watched Children of Men the other day - great film I thought, even if their use of lavs drove me nuts. I guess with those shots they didn't have much choice rustle rustle rub rustle.

I think it loses its comedy value when you deconstruct the production and realise that it must have been 100% staged to satisfy production health&safety. If someone tricked me into falling into a hole full of water that deep I'd drown. No one would give PLI for a stunt like that.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">A lot of these events are actually staged. I watched a really old one from the mid 70s filmed in South Africa and even back then you could clearly see by the behaviour of some of the participants that it was staged.
